NOTICE

To the CREDITORS and DEBTORS of CHAs. MARR, Merchant in Strichen.

THE said Charles Marr having executed a Trust Disposition in favour of James Knowles and William Pirie, Merchants in Aberdeen, and Alexander Webster, Advocate there, on behoof of his Creditors; all those having Claims against him, are requested to lodge the same, properly vouched, with the said Alex. Webster; and such as Indebted to him, are desired to pay the sums due by them, to John Woodman, Auctioneer in Strichen, or to the said Alex. Webster, within One Month from this date, to prevent expences.

Aberdeenshire farm leases

FARMS TO BE LET.

THE FARM of BRACCO, in the parish of Aberdour, and in the immediate neighbourhood of the village of Strichen, as at present possessed by William Wallace; also, that FARM on SOUTH SHEVADO, in New Deer, possessed by Robert Ironside, are to be Let for 19 years.  Entry at Whitsunday next.

Heritable property of Alexander Scott in Strichen

NOTICE.

ALEXANDER SCOTT, sometime Farmer at Ord, thereafter Feuar and Watchmaker in Strichen, died in April last, leaving some heritable property.  His heir at law will hear of something to his advantage, on applying to Mr Alex. Fraser, Writer in Fraserburgh; or Alexander Webster, Advocate in Aberdeen.

Mormond Village

SALE OF PROPERTY.

There will be Sold by Private Bargain,

THE FEU PROPERTY in Mormond Village, presently possessed by Mrs Stewart.  The House measures 52 feet in length, it is two stories high, and a Garret fitted up for a Granary.

There is likewise on the premises, a Stable and Byre, 38 feet long, and a Loft above for Barn.

The whole is substantially built; the House has a slate roof, and the Offices are tiled.

The Ground of said property measures 1371 square yards. - the House has been used as a Public Inn for 16 years, and would be a good opening for any person inclining to enter into the public line; or could be fitted up, at a small expense, to accommodate a genteel private family.

Roup of Properties in Peterhead and New Leeds

SUBJECTS in PETERHEAD, and VILLAGE of NEW LEEDS, &c. for SALE.

To be Sold by public roup, within Milne's New Inn, Peterhead, on Monday 22d April, 1816, at one o'clock afternoon,

THE following SUBJECTS, part of the sequestrated estate of ALEXANDER CHEYNE, late merchant in Leith.

1st,  All and whole these HOUSES, Barns and Stables, and Ground adjoining thereto, lying in the town of Peterhead, and fronting the north harbour, as presently possessed by Alexander Sutherland, carter, John Taylor, and others.

2d, The Feu tenement of Land, and new House built thereon, lying on the south side of Peterhead, situated on the School Brae, and on the north side of the road leading from the Mineral Well, towards the Kirktown, as presently possessed by Peter Hutchinson, and John Burnet.

3d, That Small House and Feu, in the village of New Leeds, in the parish of Strichen, sometime belonging to Alexander Hepburn, thereafter to James Geddes and his spouse, and which is marked No. 27. on the plan of the village.

Tarfat Farm, Strichen

FARM TO LET.

THE FARM of TARFATT, in the parish of Strichen, as presently occupied by Alexander Anderson, will be Let for such a number of years as may be agreed upon.  It consists of upwards of 60 acres of arable land, about 12 whereof are old infield; the rest being on a clay soil, is very susceptible of improvement; and as it is within a mile of the Lime Quarry of Strichen, Lime can be had at a very easy rate.  It is likewise not above half a mile from the village of Mormond - which local advantages add much to the value of this Farm.

The present tenant will shew the boundaries; and application for particulars, and offers, may be made to John Anderson, Factor at Strichen.

James Sangster, New Deer

NOTICE TO CREDITORS

A DIVIDEND of the whole proceeds of the subjects which belonged to JAMES SANGSTER, Shoemaker in Rumblinpots, parish of New Deer, will be made on Monday the 31st of January inst. within the house of Mr Stewart, vintner, Mormond Village, by 10 o'clock forenoon.  And such of his Creditors as have not lodged their claims, are desired to lodge them, with affidavit thereon, with John Woodman, at Old-manse, Strichen, previous to said day; and such as fail to comply with this intimation, will not be entitled to any share of the proceeds of the said James Sangster's subjects. - [Not to be repeated.]

The aforeseaid Possessions lie within a very short distance of the village of Mormond, and the Lime Kilns of Strichen; are in general of a good early soil; some of them have a very considerable proportion of old infield land, which, together with a great part of the outfield, is of the best quality, and produce weighty crops of every sort.  In short, they are as elegible commodious small Possessions as are to be met with.  Several of them lie contiguous to each other; such will be let together, if tenants incline.

For particulars, apply to John Anderson, Factor at Strichen, to whom offers may be give in, to the 1st of September next.

The Possessions will be shewn by James Horne, the Ground-Officer.

There will also be let, for such a number of Grain Crops as shall be agreed on, and INCLOSURE, of about 14 acres, on the MAINS of STRICHEN, which has been in Pasture about 72 years. - Entry at Martinmas first.

NOTICE TO DEBTORS AND CREDITORS

Of the late WILLIAM YOUNGSON in Auchnevard.

ALL those that are anywise indebted to him are desired to pay the same to his Widow, before the 1st of August next, and all those that have any claim against the said Wm. Youngson are desired to lodge the same (with proper vouchers thereon) with Alexander Shirar, auctioneer, in Strichen village, on or before the 1st of August next.  By order of the widow.

MEETING OF CREDITORS.

A Meeting of the whole Creditors of WILLIAM SIMPSON, Farmer, in Sandhole of Hatton, is requested upon Monday first the 29th inst. at 12 o'clock noon, within the house of James Shand, vintner in Weighton-hill, to accede to the trust deed, and instruct the Trustees with regard to the management of his subjects, when a state of affairs will be laid before them.

May 19
Session being met and constituted by Prayer: Compeared Jean Thomson and acknowledged herself with child and being interrogated who was the father of her child, she accused William Milne, a married man in the parish, who compeared at same time and acknowledged guilt.  They were both seriously exhorted &c.   Closed with prayer.

June 9th
This day compeared before the congregation William Milne, for the crime of adultery, and having paid his penalty he was seriously exhorted and relieved from Church Censure
