Rothiemay Kirk Session, 21st June 1713

Compeared James Shoe and confessed himself guilty of Adultery with Marjory Anderson and being rebuked was ordained to Satisfy the Church discipline as ane Adulterer.

Rothiemay Kirk Session Minutes, 16th June 1713

Convened min[iste]r & Elders in Session and af[te]r prayer Marjory Anderson be Sum[mone]d by the min[ister']s order compeared and confessed her self guilty of Adultery with James Shoe and being rebuked was ordained to Satisfy in penalty and penance as ane Adulteress.  James Shoe was ordained to be Sum[mone]d to the next dyet.

Rathven Kirk Session Minutes, 4th October 1812

The Session being met & Constitute Compeared on citation John Smith a married man accused of being the Father of Anne Howies Child, & He being exhorted in the presence of Anne Howie to make a fair & true confession, denied all connection with Her.  The Session taking this case under consideration agreed to summon both parties before the first meeting of Presbytery: and do summon them apud acta to attend the Presby., at Portsoy or Cullen the first Wednesday after 22d November next.  Sederunt closed with prayer.

Rathven Kirk Session Minutes, 27th September 1812

The Session being met & Constitute Compeared Anne Howie an unmarried Woman who confessed that she had lately brought forth a Child in adultery to John Smith in Rathven.  The Session therefore resolved to summon the said John Smith to compear before them on Sunday next, and ordered the said Anne Howie apud acta likewise to attend on that Day.  Sederunt closed with prayer.

Deskford Kirk Session Minutes, 12th July 1812

The Session met & constituted &c. Compeared Elspet Lawrence & adhered to her former accusation of Alexr. Reid as the Father of her Child.  Compeared also Alexr. Reid & confessed guilt with the said Elspet Lawrence.  This being a case of Adultery, the Session referred it the to Presb[yter]y at their first meeting, & the Officer was appointed to summon them to said meeting.

Strichen Kirk Session Minutes, 1811

May 19
Session being met and constituted by Prayer: Compeared Jean Thomson and acknowledged herself with child and being interrogated who was the father of her child, she accused William Milne, a married man in the parish, who compeared at same time and acknowledged guilt.  They were both seriously exhorted &c.   Closed with prayer.

June 9th
This day compeared before the congregation William Milne, for the crime of adultery, and having paid his penalty he was seriously exhorted and relieved from Church Censure
