Sequestration of John Allan, Banff

ADVERTISEMENT.

IT is requested, that all those who are indebted to the sequestrated Estate of JOHN ALLAN, Leather Merchant in BANFF, by bill, account, or otherways, will pay the same to James Watson, Merchant in Banff, the Trustee for the creditors, immediately; otherways the trustee will be under the necessity of prosecuting for payment.

Hugh Imlay, shoemaker

NOTICE TO DEBTORS AND CREDITORS.

THE Debtors of HUGH IMLAY, Shoemaker in Aberdeen, are requested to make payment immediately, of what they ower him to James Mathews, Shoemaker in Queenstreet, who is authorised to discharge the same; as a prosecution is about to be commenced against them.  And the creditors of the said Hugh Imlay are desired to lodge their claims, with affidavits, on or before the 19th June curt. with the said James Mathews, or John Ramage, Leather Merchant in Aberdeen, Trustees for his creditors.

A meeting of the creditors will be held within the Writing Room of Alexander Allan, Advocate, Broadstreet, Aberdeen, on the said 19th curt. at 6 o'clock afternoon, when they are requested to attend.

Sale of shop in Aberchirder

SALE OF HOUSE AND SHOP GOODS,

IN FOGGIELOAN.

THAT HOUSE situated on the south side of Foggieloan, with about 2 1/2 Acres of feu ground attached, together with the Stock of SHOP GOODS in the same, lately belonging to Alex. Alexander, merchant, and now to Trustees for behoof of his Creditors, is to be sold by private bargain; and such a desireable opening for any person wanting to engage in business, is seldom to be met with, the country around being populous and the village thriving.  If not sold in one lot before the 20th May next, the whole will be soon afterwards exposed to sale by public roup.

Application and offers to be made to William Innes, Netherdale, or William Davidson, Merchant, Aberdeen; either of whom has power to conclude a bargain.

Foggieloan is the popular local name for the village of Aberchirder.

John Robb, merchant in Banff

NOTICE.

The Executors of the late Mr JOHN ROBB, Merchant in Banff, have empowered Mr JOHN WATT, merchant there, to receive payments of all sums due to said Mr Robb, and to discharge the same.  Likewise, those who have claims on the deceased, are desired to lodge them, properly vouched, with Mr Watt, and that on or before the 26th May next.

SALE OF SUBJECTS IN ELGIN

THAT HOUSE and CLOSE in Elgin, belonging to John Lane, junior, Esq. Merchant in London, lying upon the south side of the High Street thereof, and extending from the same to the back passage on the south; on the west by the House and Close belonging some time to the late Baillie George Simpson, and on the east by the Close belonging to Mr Williamson, and others, all as now possessed by Mr Jas. Maklay, Merchant, Mr Masson, Baker, and others.  A Purchaser may have access to the premises at Whitsunday first; and if not sold by private bargain by the 15th May next, a day will then be fixed for a public Sale.

Hugh Imlay, Shoemaker, Aberdeen

NOTICE TO DEBTORS AND CREDITORS

AND HOUSE FOR SALE.

THOSE having claims against HUGH IMLAY, Shoemaker in Aberdeen, are required to lodge the same, and affidavits thereon, with James Matthews or John Ramage, leather-merchants in Aberdeen, trustees for his creditors, on or before the 20th of February next. - And such as are indebted to the said Hugh Imlay, are required to pay the amount of what they are due him, within the same period, to the said James Matthews, who is authorised to discharge the same.

That HOUSE in CHAPEL-STREET, presently possessed by the said Hugh Imlay, and others, will be exposed to sale, by public roup, within the Lemon Tree Tavern, on Friday the 31st of January curt. at 6 o'clock in the evening.  The house is new and substantially built, consisting of two floors, besides coomceiled rooms.
