Kincardineshire farm leases

FARMS IN KINCARDINESHIRE TO LET.

To be let for 19 years, from Whitsunday first,

THE FARM of LITTLE BARRAS, occupied by John Kennedy, in the parish of Kineff, consisting of about 65 acres of arable, and 45 acres of uncultivated ground; the arable is good early dry soil, capable of bearaing any kind of grain and green crops; the Steading is centrical, and the Dwelling House slated.  As also the Farm of LEYS of BARRAS adjoining, in the parish of Arbuthnot, possessed by John Clerk, consisting of upwards of 150 acres arable, and 55 of pasture.  If desired, this farm will be divided, the west division to consist of about 100 arable acres, and the east of about 50.  And also, the Croft of LITTLE BARRAS, occupied by George Burnet's Heirs, consisting of nearly 2 acres arable, and 2 1/2 acres of pasture.

Offers will be received by Andrew Jopp, Advocate in Aberdeen, till Saturday the 28th March, when these Farms will be let, at Mill Inn of Stonehaven, at 10 o'clock forenoon.

Kincardineshire farm leases

KINCARDINESHIRE.
FARMS
ON THE ESTATE OF ALLARDYCE.
To be let for nineteen years from Martinmas next,
THE FARMS of MILL-PLOUGH & CLOUSEBURN, in the parish of Arbuthnott, the former as presently occupied by James Stewart, and the latter by John Mitchell.  The farm of Mill-plough, consists of 110 acres arable, or thereby, besides pasture, and is in good condition, having been lately improved, limed, and partly sub-divided by open ditches.  The farm of Clouseburn consists of about 72 acres arable, besides pasture.  These Farms are situated within 3 miles of the post town of Bervie; 4 miles of the sea-port of Gourdon, where lime and coal are imported; 12 miles from Montrose; and 10 miles from Stonehaven, at both of which places there is a weekly grain market.

George Beattie, ground-officer at Allardyce, will shew the farms; and offers may be given in, and particulars learned, on application to the proprietor at Ury, or to David Ross, Writer in Stonehaven.

Pitcarry Farm

FARMS IN KINCARDINESHIRE.
To be let for 19 years after Martinmas 1816,

THE Farm of PITCARRY, at present occupied by Mr David Bell, and situate within a mile of the burgh of Bervie; consisting of about 363 acres of arable land, and 70 acres of pasture.

It is proposed to let this land in two farms, or in one, as offerers may incline; and for farther information, application may be made to Mr Charles Mercer, Meikleour, by Perth; or to Mr John Polwarth, Keir, by Kincardine; by whom, and by Messrs. Thomson and Fleming, W.S. Edinburgh, offers will be received.

Kincardineshire Farms

VALUABLE FARMS IN KINCARDINESHIRE
TO LET,
Entry at Whitsunday next.

THE Farm of BROOMBANK, as presently possessed by the assignees and subtenants of the late James Campbell, consisting of about 245 acres; about 211 of which is fine arable fertile dry early soil, with a south exposure, well adapted for the production of all sorts of grain and green crops; and 34 acres of fine green braes and pasture; lying in the parish of Glenbervie, close to the village of Drumlithie, within about six miles of Stonehaven, five of Bervie, twelve of Montrose, and intersected by the turnpike road leading from Stonehaven to Laurencekirk.  Entry by Whitsunday 1813.

AND

MEETLAW consisting of about 97 acres arable, presently and for several years in grass; lying in the parish of Arbuthnott, within less than five miles of Stonehaven, and also intersected by the foresaid turnpike road.

Both farms will be shown by Alexander Reid, ground-officer at Drumlithie; and every proper encouragement given to good tenants, and none else need apply.

Proposals will be received by John Gordon of Avochie, W.S. the proprietor, at Edinburgh; or Mr Christian, writer, Stonehaven; and the proprietor prposes being on the spot soon, to treat and conclude, of which due notice will be given.

Farms in the Mearns to be let

FARMS IN THE MEARNS.
To be let for 19 years from Martinmas first,

THE FOLLOWING ARMS, viz. -

1.  MAINS of HATTON, as possessed by Mr John Ferrier.  It contains, besides a considerable quantity of pasture, about 200 acres of arable land, capable of bearing crops of all kinds; and is in the neighbourhood of lime, and good markets, being about six miles from Brechin, and five miles from Montrose, with which the communication will be rendered still better by the Bridge about to built ovr the River Northesk at Marykirk.

2. The Lands of KIRKTOWN of FOURDOUN, together with the INN, as presently possessed by William taylour.  They consist of about 80 acres of arable land, well adapted both to the wheat and turnip husbandry, and 40 acres in pasture.

Every reasonable encouragement will be given for the improvement of both these farms, the entry to which will, in every respect, be favourable.  They will be shown by the Baron Officer at Hatton and at Fourdoun.

Offers in writing will be received, till the middle of September next, at Arbuthnott House, near Bervie, and by Messrs. Dundas & Irving, W.S. Edinburgh.
