Accidental death of Alexander Crocket

Shocking Accident. - On Wednesday afternoon last, as a Country-man was coming down the Gallowgate, he was met, at the corner forming the entry to the Broad Street, by a cart loaded with timber; when, slipping his foot on the pavement, he unfortunately fell before the cart, one of the wheels of which passing over his head, fractured his skull in a shocking manner, so that he almost immediately expired.  The unfortunate sufferer was a man of the name of Alexander Crocket, well known for many years as a Carrier from Nether Banchory, and has left a Widow to lament his loss.

Intakers for the North, and prices of bleaching, same as last season; and at Aberdeen, by Messrs HARTHILL & HAY, Gallowgate; at Oldmeldrum, by Mr Robert Hendrie, merchant.

Thomas Rannie manufactures and sells all kinds of LINEN, SHEETING, and TABLE NAPERY, with COTTON SHIRTINGS of an approved make - of the last he has a capital parcel, which will be sold under the manufacturer's cost. - Those sending yarn to be manufactured into Table Napery, will please forward it soon.

Gallowgate sale

SALE OF STOCK IN TRADE, &c.

On Wednesday the 3d day of February there will be sold by public roup, at that House in the Gallowgate, presently occupied by John Hervie,

THE whole STOCK in TRADE, which belonged to him, consisting of Indigo, Teas, Sugars, Logwood, Cochineal, with a quantity of Salt Butter in casks; Beams, Scales, and Weights, and various other articles.

At the same time will be sold his whole HOUSEHOLD FURNITURE, consisting of a sett of Mahogany Dining Tables; Tea ditto; Walnut-tree and other Chairs; a four post bed and Curtains; Feather Beds, and Blankets, Bed and Table Linen; Kitchen Furniture, and a number of other articles.

Sale to begin at 10 o'clock forenoon.
