ONE THOUSAND Cut BIRCH TREES, will be sold by public roup in Lots on the west bank of the Spey, near the ferry-boat of Elchies, (if not previously sold by private bargain), on Tuesday the 11th day of February next, at noon.

And on the same day, the following Farms will be Let at the House of Elchies, with entry at Whitsunday next.

The Mains of Craigmill is enclosed, and within five miles of Forres.  The Mill and Farm Steading are new, and slated; and such of the other Farms as are contiguously situated will be joined, and made convenient to accommodate improving tenants.

Offers will be received by John Grant, at Carron, or P. Cameron, Writer in Banff, until the day of set; and Alexander Grant, ground-officer, will shew the marches.

Dallas Kirk Session Minutes, December 1810

Kirk of Dallas 9th Decr. 1810

The Session being met & constituted sederunt the Minister & Elders.  Compeared Jane Miller an unmarried woman & declared that she was with child in uncleanness and gave up Alexander Garrow in Craiges as the Father of it.

The said Alexander Garrow being summoned compeared and being interrogate declared that he was willing to refer it to her Oath.  The Session defer the consideration of this business until some future day.

Closed with Prayer.

Manse of Dallas 23d. Decr. 1810

The Session being met & constituted sederunt the Minister & Elders.  Compeared Elspat McGillavray a young unmarried woman in Craigend, & confessed that she was with child to Alexr. Garrow in Craiges - who being also called compeared & acknowledged himself to be the Father of the child with which the said Elspat McGillavray was pregnant.  The Session defer any further procedure in this affair till some future day.  Alexr. Garrow settled for Penalties.
