Alexander Findlay, deceased

Some weeks ago, Alexander Findlay, a poor man about 70 years of age, and who in the early part of his life had served as a private in the army, came to the house of Joseph Reid at Moss-side, in the parish of Banchory Devenick where he was taken ill, and died in two days.  He was decently interred by orders from the Kirk Session, and 15s. obtained by the sale of his wearing apparel, were applied towards defraying the expenses incurred.
