After Sermon Sess. met & being constituted compeared Elspet McDonald said she was with Child & accused Joseph Mavor unmarried as the Father of it. He being present denied all carnal Connexion with her. They were seriously exhorted to tell the truth & summoned to attend this Session next Sunday after Sermon.
13th Janry. 1811
After Sermon Sess. met & being constituted compeared Joseph Mavor & Elspet McDonald, the latter still persisting in her accusation against the said Joseph Mavor. He being strictly interrogated persisted in his former declaration viz. of denying the justice of the accusation. Whereupon the Session resolved to refer this Case to the Presby. of Ellon at their next meeting to be held at this place [blank] of March next & summoned apud acta the said Joseph Mavor & Elspet McDonald to attend said meeting.
