These Farms and Crofts lie along and near the Doveran; are within three miles of Turriff, and ten of Banff.  The turnpike roads from Banff to Marnoch, and from Banff to Forglen, lead to them in two directions, and within short distances.  From the Marnoch turnpike, and excellent commutation road is already opened, connecting it with the property; and another, (in place of the present old road) is expected to complete the communication with the turnpike to Forglen, distant only 2 ½ miles.

The Farms and Crofts of Clunie and Knockorth, with the valuable Granite Quarries adjoining, are distant only from ten to eleven miles from the sea-ports of Banff and Macduff, where there is a ready market for Grain, and where abundance of Lime may always be had.  The turnpike road from Banff to Marnoch and Huntly, runs along the west side of these properties, at the distance of a mile; and there are good commutation roads connecting them with the turnpike.

The Estate in general is of a natural good soil, and exceedingly well situated as to Cattle Marks.

It is intended to Let all the above Farms and Crofts, without exception, at Carnousie-House, on Monday the 25th day of May next, previous to which day offers, in writing only, will be received by the Proprietor, at Carnousie-House, or by Sir Geo. Abercromby, Bart. at Forglen-House.

Entry will be given at Whitsunday first, to the Crofts possessed by George Low, and the heirs of John Bremner, to any tenant who may take these; but to the whole of the others, entry will only be given to the present tenants, if preferred, at Whitsunday first -- or to the new tenants at Whitsunday 1819.

Every encouragement will be given to industrious and improving tenants; and James Dunbar, at Carnousie, will attend every Tuesday from 10 to 2 o'clock afternoon, at James Leslie's, Hillockhead of Clunie, and point out the marches of the Farms, &c.  both on Clunie and Knockorth - and at Carnousie every Thursday, till the day of Letting.

Sow Croft, Aberdeen: land for sale

HOUSES FOR SALE

Upon Friday, the 6th December 1811, there will be exposed to sale by public roup, within the Lemon-tree Tavern in Aberdeen, between the hours of 6 and 7 o'clock in the evening,

THAT large TENEMENT of LAND, situated on the first Lot of the Croft called the Sow Croft, at Castlehill of Aberdeen, belonging to Alexander Fyfe, millwright, occupied by him and his tenants.
