Unfinished business in Midmar

NOTICE.

JAMES McALLAN, Farmer in Meikle Midmar, parish of Midmar, sold a COW to a Man who said he lived near Stonehaven, in a Banchory Market, in the month of December last, and received 9s. 6d. in part of the price; but the purchaser has failed to call for the Cow, and pay the Balance of the price.  And Notice is hereby given, that if the purchaser shall not call for the Cow, and pay the Balance of the price, and the expense of maintenance, and this Advertisement, betwixt and the 25th February current, the Cow will be sold on the day following at 12 o'clock noon, at Meikle Midmar, and the price retained to pay the above Claims.

Lumphanan cow missing

STRAYED,
From the Sliach Market,

A QUEY, well horned, rising three years old - whoever will give information of her to John Beattie, Kintocher, parish of Lumphanan, will be rewarded for their trouble.

Theft of cow from Forgue

STOLEN

ON the night of the 30th of June, from GEORGE TAYLOR, Roundhome, Forgue, a BLACK COW, black horns, a bell in her face, grey headed, white udder, feet, and tail, five years old, supposed to have gone the Aberdeen road. - Any person who can give information of her to the owner, will be rewarded for their trouble.

Joseph Fyfe, Gilcomston

REWARD

Whereas on the night of Friday the 31st day of May last, some evil disposed person or persons entered the Byre of JOSEPH FYFE, near GILCOMSTON, and wickedly cut a COW, his property, in several places, apparently with a view of killing her; but, having failed in this, they barbarously cut off her tail, leaving it in the byre - a Reward of TWO GUINEAS is hereby offered by James Spalding, advocate, Aberdeen, Procurator Fiscal of the Sheriff Court, for such information as shall lead to the discovery and conviction of the person or persons guilty of the above cruel and malicious offence.
