Isaac Robertson, Auchanachie

NOTICE.
To the CREDITORS of

ISAAC ROBERTSON at AUCHANACHIE.  It having been intimated in the Journal of last week, that Mr Robertson had, on the 10th curt. granted a trust disposition in favour of John Geddes in Haddoch, John Gatherer, and Wm. Gordon, writers in Keith, for behoof of his creditors; a meeting of his creditors was, in consequence of the above advertisement, held within the house of Robert Gordon, vintner here, this day, when the trust deed was laid before them for approval, and instructions to the trustees named; but one of the principal creditors present having refused to accede, and no accession in consequence having taken place, the above gentlemen declined accepting the trust, or acting under it, and they give this notice, that all concerned may attend to their interests.

James Smith, Cairnie

NOTICE TO CREDITORS

A Meeting of the Creditors of JAMES SMITH, Tacksman of Shenwall of Cairnie, will be held within the house of Robert Knight, vintner in Keith, upon Friday the 16th day of December current, when an offer of Composition, and other matters of importance, will be submitted to their consideration.  It is therefore requested by Mr Smith, and his Trustees, that all those interested with either attend personally, or empower others to act for them at the meeting.

Alexander Proctor, Shenwall

NOTICE.

TO the Creditors of the Deceased ALEXANDER PROCTOR, late Cattle Dealer in Shenwall.

A meeting of the creditors of the said Alexander Proctor is to be held within the house of John Skinner, vintner in Keith, on Monday the 21st of December instant, at noon, when it is requested all concerned will attend.

Nether Mains of Davidstown, Cairnie

FARM TO LET.
In the Parish of Cairney, Aberdeenshire.

THE NETHER MAINS of DAVIDSTOWN, as lately possessed by Mr ARCHIBALD MILNE, and now by his heirs, consisting of about forty arable acres, and some pasture.

This farm was all well limed some years ago; and has since been laboured in a five-shirt rotation, in which it is at present; and the greater part of it inclosed.

There is a large commodious and substantial Dwelling House, with a complete Steading of Offices on the premises.  Such a situation for a Gentleman wishing a convenient residence, is seldom to be met with; and will be let for eight or nine Crops, entry immediately, or at Whitsunday next.

Particulars may be learnt by applying to John Taylor, Merchant, Keith, or John Lawson, at Oldmills, by Elgin.

* Written Offers, lodged with either, will be attended to.

Hugh Duncan, merchant in Ardonald

NOTICE
To the Creditors and DEBTORS of HUGH DUNCAN, sometime Merchant in Huntly, now in Ardonald.

The said Hugh Duncan having granted a disposition to Trustees for behoof of his Creditors; it is requested that those having claims on him, will immediately lodge the same, with oaths of verity thereon, in the hands of John Duncan, in Drywells, Cabrach, one of his Trustees, or Alexr. Stewart, writer in Huntly; and those indebted to the Bankrupt, will pay the same to the said Alexander Stewart, without delay, or they will be immediately prosecuted.

A meeting of his whole Creditors is to be held within the Post Office of Huntly, upon Friday the 20th day of September current, in order to give directions to the Trustees as to the after management of the estate; and it is requested that those concerned will attend, by themselves, or others properly authorised.  Not to be repeated.

Cairnie Kirk Session Minutes, 1811

31 Mar 1811
Sess. Met &c. compeared Elspet Morrison in Whiteley and acknowledged that she had brought forth a child in Fornication to John Ross Dancing Master Craving to be absolved and get her child baptised.  The Session considering her circumstances agreed to absolve her without exacting any penalty.  She was then rebuked and absolved.

Cairnie Kirk Session Register, 1811

Cairny 20th January 1811
Sess. Met &c. compeared John McIntosh and Ann Brander in Ardonald and acknowledged themselves guilty of antenuptial fornication and craving to be absolved they made offer of Thirty Shillings for the use of the poor.  The Session agreeing to this, the money was paid down and they were absolved accordingly.

3rd February 1811
Sess. Met &c. compeared John Humphrey and Ann Wilson in Ardonald and acknowledged themselves guilty of antenuptial Fornication craving to be absolved & married.  The Session considering their circumstances agreed to absolve them without exacting any penalty - They were therefore rebuked, absolved and married.
