Sale of John Gray's & Alexander Knight's properties in Huntly

HOUSES AND GARDENS IN HUNTLY

FOR SALE, OR TO BE LET.

THE TENEMENTS, Houses, and Gardens, which formerly belonged to John Gray, Messenger in Huntly, and now to James Grant, Advocate in Aberdeen, situated on the north side of the street leading from the north end of the Square or Market-palace [sic] of Huntly towards the Bridge of Bogie.

Also the Tenements, Houses, and Garden, which formerly belonged to Alexander Knight, Tailor in Huntly, and now to Mr Grant, lying on the north west side of the street leading from the Muir or Cattle Market Stance past the Old School

These subjects are in good repair, substantially built, and well worth the attention of any person wishing such property.  The Proprietor is anxious to dispose of them; and therefore great bargains may be expected.  Entry to the premises at Whitsunday next.

If not sold, the whole will be let to Tenants for One Year from Whitsunday ensuing.

NOTICE.

DIED at George Anderson's, Badyfash, on the second day of January, 1814, a Poor Travelling Man, who called himself CHARLES GORDON, but by some papers found it would appear his real name was ALEXANDER KNIGHT; he said he was a native near Boyndie, or Banff; some money was found on him; and he was decently interred at Rayne.

Any of his relations, by calling at George Anderson, Badyfash, parish of Fyvie, will receive what is over paying funeral charges.  If not claimed within two months, it will be given to the poor of the parish.
