We are sorry to learn, that on the night of Monday the 18th, during a tremendous storm of rain, wind, and snow, Mr Cruickshank, schoolmaster of Gartly, lost his way within a mile of his own house, and perished from the rigour of the night. He has left a large family to bewail his premature death.

Parochial School of Keith
KEITH, 31st March, 1814. - This day, the Parochial School of Keith was visited and examined by a Committee of the Presbytery of Strathbogie. The Committee were happy to observe the striking improvement that has taken place in this School, since last examination; the Scholars, in the several branches usually taught, having acquitted themselves in a manner that reflected much credit on Mr Low, their Teacher. The specimens in Writing were particularly well executed.
