Gardener Friendly Society of Cuminestown

On the 27th ult. was held the Anniversary Meeting of the Gardener Friendly Society of Cuminestown, when, after examining the state of the funds, which were found in a flourishing condition, and transacting the business of the day, the proceeded to the election of Office-bearers for the ensuing year.

ARCHILBALD CUMINE, Esq. of Auchry, unanimoulsy elected Honorary Master.
JOHN LAMBIN, Cuminestown, re-elected Master.
James Irvine, depute-master; Thomas Murray, treasurer; James Jeffrey, secretary; James Brown, and William Smith, stewards; and George Cheyne, clerk; Messrs. Alexander Pirie, John Duncan, Peter Tennant, John Morrison, Alexander Peterkin, James Dick, Alexander Mackie, William Jaffray, Alexander Mennie, John Ironside, and George Thomson, managers; and John Allan, officer.  After which, the Brethren had a procession; and then dined in the Society Hall.
