Drainie Kirk Session Register, 1811

Church of Drainy, 31st March, 1811.
Compeared Margaret Fraser, late servant to Mr Anderson, Kinneddar, who formerly charged, Alexander Calder, her Fellow servant, as Father of the Child, of which she had been lately delivered.  The said Margaret Fraser, professing repentance for her offence, craved that The Session would instantly appoint her to be absolved, that she might be admitted, as Sponsor for her Child, and get it baptised.  The Session agreeing to this request, she was absolved accordingly and the child baptised coram, the Meeting closed with prayer.
