MEETING OF CREDITORS.

A Meeting of the CREDITORS of JAMES WYNESS, Stone Quarrier, at Dancing Cairn, will be held within the house of John Thom, vintner, at Buxburn, on Saturday the 8th instant, at four o'clock in the afternoon, when a state of his affairs will be laid before the meeting.  It is particularly requested that all those having claims against the said James Wyness will either attend the meeting, or empower some person to act for them, so as measures may be taken for realising his subjects.

FATAL ACCIDENT AT BUXBURN

On Tuesday last, about six o'clock in the evening, Andrew Brodie, employed at the Lint Mill of Buxburn, in walking across the Loft slipped his foot, and falling backwards upon the water wheel then in motion, was instantly killed.  The body, which had stopped the motion of the machinery, was immediately taken up, with very little external mark of violence, there appearing only a slight wound on one cheek.
